I take your word Hal as I'm in a black spot here with my crappy old computor etc . For me forget the supermakets, go Asian/Indian & buy in bulk . Little story once I was in my local Indian store & the bloke giving me service was chooing away happily to his hearts content at the time, which made me Curious . Better than lollies he said & he chews them 24/7 type of thing. So me being me any one like to guess what they were.

True All add's some weight to the theory etc when the seller as such puts it to the test & uses it himself type of thing.

Is anyone thinking of making any REAL Probiotic?
For years I have had a problem with the people who stand in supermarkets trying to sell you these little yogurt cultures which they claim are 'probiotic'. It is absolute nonsense - a real Probiotic is a LIVING thing, as shown in the video clip.
A proper Probiotic has a shelf life of about 72 hours (3 Days) and therefore is no good to high street shops.
It's the same as the powders one can buy for pigeons, that claim to be Probiotics - they CAN'T be, simply because, for the manufacturers to get the living probiotic, which they may or may not have been able to produce, to you, the pigeon fancier, in powder form, they have had to 'kill' it by freeze drying or some other method to make it into a powder.
On the other hand - if you make up some probiotic for your pigeons in the way shown on the YouTube clip, and do it properly, you will have something truly worthwhile giving to your birds. I have been making real probiotics for years.
Try it for yourselves!
Phil
