hopefully it will look more like its father.it is a blue cheq pied with a bit of bronzing.but the bronzing usually goes after its first moult.my intention is to get my own variety of norwich croppers.this is a pain staking task and can take years to get right.its all about crossing this to that and getting the right colour and markings.it might not bare fruit for me but i want a new challenge.

hi geordiejen, this is not unlike racing men, they devote their time to breeding the winner from the birds they keep and making them their own family..........this can take many years ans sometimes a lifetime but they pair cirtain birds together (usually winer to winner?) to get the champion bird........ hope all goes to plan and you reach that goal............

ive read of other ways of people breeding birds for racing.i think it was mostly down to eyesign.certain birds are inspected by the eyes and are termed good racers or good breeders.done on a scale of 1-9 i suppose everyone has their own wee secrets on breeding the birds.

i dont use best showbird to best showbird.if im looking for a particular bird for show it either has to have good type like body shape length of keel clean legged e.t.c i would also keep any bird which is too large in the crop and pair it ont one thats a bit small in the crop.also good colour and feathering comes is taken into consideration.maybe i could take a few racers and whip all your arses in the showpen.lol.
