RPRA Auction 6 Hours to go....

just 6 hours to go until the rpra auction ends for our syndicate pigeon, its at £53 now, so its going cheap for a quality bird who did us proud in the final race......

I won the Jos Thone dark grizzle as well. Paid up right away just in case we run out of money after this move. lol!

Phil. Just keep cool! Moved from the UK to Bermuda. Then two years later New York State. Then two years later Canada. Was easy. Only stuff I move with me from US to Canada was clothes and 2 kids in a 59 Buick. 47 years ago or so. In Canada have moved multiple times. Once I hired a moving firm. I was very critical of their methods. Told them so. They dumped my furniture and stuff and took off. Did it the usual way. Moved by pick up truck. Many trips. Moving firm sent me a bill. I sent one back for damages to the furniture. Matter was dropped. No damage to the furniture. Expensive stuff, for me anyway. But moving stuff overseas, think I would be less vocal and critical. French I met were in Le Havre and Rouen. Excitable buggers. Also in Montreal. Did a night in jail there. 1960's. Told a guy in a bar, when he asked were I came from, told him, West Hartlepool. Hung a monkey there. Small, excitable, hairy. Thought it was a French spy. Bugger took offense at that! Usual fist fight ensued. I won. He had nothing to swing on to get away.

sounds like you had an interesting life hal, a few adventures......I bet you've many more stories you could tell too

Well the removal people turned up at 09:30 - took one look at all the stuff we have to ship and said "Oh bleep bleep!

But they are pushing on with the stuff so we live in hope.

NO not at all, we will have to rent a cottage for a few nights.

We do not leave French soil until Monday 30th around 09:30.
