Its all over

Well that's it for another year back to work tomorrow and start all over again can't wait still its a short week that helps to ease you back in

Mark count your blessings! I worked until I was 74. Retired because they closed the hog barns down. I miss working! Retirement suckks!
PS. You get my vote for fancier of the Forum for the year.

Yes hal suppose I'm Lucky I have a job To go to just nice to have a change from the everyday routine next time off march then September then Christmas week

Your job. Not sure what it is but suspect you have to keep fit. Good nutrition. Male stripper?

Differant strokes for differant folks etc Mark I would suggest. My brother died at 52 & I then decided to retire at 52 . My other half helps keeps me busy, busy thou but then   life wasn't meant to be easy, easy all the time one could say

aye knackered mate wouldn't do for us all to be same, retired 57, don't miss work one bit, miss the lads and the banter, but stuff work, don't have minute to spit now, cant think how i fitted it all in when i was working

yep, the holiday is over, up at 7 am this morning, wont be too bad in summer tho`, can get birds sorted early morning and out for a flutter.......

Back to work for me. I was going to work yesterday, but had a sick dog. All this talk of retirement! I've got to keep going to 78. A friend of mine is a roofer at 74. Can't hardly walk but once he has his knee pads on....show time........

yes rom, same happened here with people getting robbed out of their pensions, question is, why isn't someone made accountable....? why arnt questions asked as to where the money has gone....?

Feel for you Rom My brother was a high, high flyer & I mean a high flyer etc. Always being head hunted for his skills in the management area. In a box at 52 but his drop kick Plumber brother decided here would look for some thing better as such to enjoy his time . Also my government here gave me a special gold card & it's worth gold for those like me here when the old body breaks down. Even in a big, big way    .

Keep that gold card close by I never set out to get rich. It seems like a good career in something satisfying would serve the soul better. Im glad I didn't waste my youth chasing paper dollars in a big city. I will admit though, waking up every morning knowing it is below zero F is hard. Ecspecially when you are your own boss.

Being rich & in a box at 52 Rom like my brother etc really didn't have any attraction for me for some reason.
