phil if you dont want the bird he has got to either come to collect it or send courier for it.........you have done all you need to do by reporting it, he cant just say keep it or throw it up, if it wont go he has got to sort it out not you........... |

| every fancier who sends a pigeon racing is obliged to claim it if it gets reported if lost, most will begrudge paying a courier to collect it for them so they just offer the stray to the person whose reported it.........if i get a stray in and report it i wouldnt get lumbered with it just because the owner cant be bothered to claim it...........its his responsability. |

| i wouldnt let any strays in loft, 9/10 owners dont want them back, letting them in is risking your birds never know if theyre carriers of any disease |

in the 2 years ive had pigeons again its been very rare ive had a stray on my loft, when i have i never let it in, i call my own in ans scare the stary off............i too would never let one into my loft with my birds as you dont know what the lofts are like where they come from re health...... |

at least youve found a home for it phil, its anouying tho when a fancier will more or less refuse to claim his own bird back when lost......if he isnt prepared to either collect in person or pay carrage he shouldnt be racing pigeons. |
