| one appeared a couple of years ago near me, strange how they work......when its a calm day, not a breeze in the sky the turbine is spinning round, yet when its windy it doesn't move......... wheres the logic in that, and how does it spin when theres no wind ...? |

| Folks. Wind turbines here. No wind they do not move. If there is a breeze above ground level they move. Too strong a wind they get shut off. Excellent for wind direction when racing! All the turbines here in Ontario produce enough electricity to supply a few hundered mile radius. However. They produce too much on windy days. So the excess was being sold to the US. They are now producing so much extra that we are now paying the US to take the extra. As our own elecrticity bills climb. We are not solely on wind power of course. Prices for electricity never comes down. Not a big fan of turbines! |

| Maybe need electricity to start them...i know they lock them if its to windy... One caught on fire here...pity it didnt spread to the rest.... |
