| Had a phone call from Lisa at the Rpra one loft race team asking if we still wanted to join as they had some cancellations and we were on the list shame they didn't keep us in when they had the chance we will have to get the money together in September this year if we want to be in that one |

| they cant expect people to wait about for them really, is the deposit non refundable...? if not it should be because those who have pulled out have deprived others from entering......would have liked to be in the rpra, but am still happy we got into the mnfc despite reports ive heard about it.
maybe the rpra will be more selective in future, or maybe give priority to those who have entered before. |

| I am not familiar with either one loft race. Personally do not care which one we are in. What counts we are at least in one. So maybe the losses in previous years is high? Bad management, whatever. Quality prevails!!! |

Same, same Hal both of us here are flying blind etc to a certain degree I would suggest . Do question why the cut of day is in September thou as such. For me just appears slightly to be on the early side of the ledger at the end of the day. ***** |

| what a shame, the loft manager at the rpra is really on the ball ...I think previous entrants should get first shout or maybe take a deposit from previous entrants through the sales at the end of the season ,just tick a box type thing if you want to re-enter ,as david said I hope they took deposits
the mnfc one loft had a raffle draw ,did anyone know what the raffle was for ...seems their were 2 winners and one of them being the loft managers son ,I just wondered what it was for as never heard anything prior on their facebook page ,thanks |

| so the loft managers son has got free entry into the mnfc one loft...? for how many birds...? personally I don't like it, it doesn't seem right.....normally with things like this, they say family members etc are excluded will be interesting to keep an eye on how his bird/s do racing...... |

| There is no doubt many fanciers get great pleasure from being involved in One Loft races, and why should they not?.
The only problem may be that as the sport becomes more expensive and advantages of one type or another arise, fanciers may opt out of Club racing etc; and use Studs for their entries.
At the present time no one knows the actual number of competing lofts all that is known is the number of people paying RPRA fees.
If people join just to enter One Loft races then we have a deceptive number on which to attempt to make a future for the sport as intended.
I do not think the sport's chances of survival in any meaningful manner will be helped by the One Loft races, I truly hope I AM WR0NG.
Regards.

| I`d be surprised if the club I`m in is still operating in 10 years maximum, probably less...... |

| OLR will only bring new fanciers in, ppl joining a syndicate who DON'T keep or race pigeons MAY be tempted to join a club. Anyone already a fancier won't pack up because of OLR. The sport will have halved in 10 years time because of the elderly dying and no youth joining. 50s/80s were the golden years, never going to be like that again, enjoy while you can |
