just looked at the mnfc one loft list and the two we sent up will both be in the final it seems the mealy is back in final date is 1st September ,nest mates to these two are still racing down in south wales to

about 4 weeks david it had 3 practice races from Cheltenham 25,7,17 so was doing well only about about 70 miles then missed the hotspots but is back in the latest loft list for Carentan which is the final of course ...it states on their face book page theirs 257 birds for the final ,the latest list is in alphabetical order so must be correct ,maybe someone had it in or it was injured not an ideal prep for the final though 70 to 260 after 4 weeks off but then if it was roughing it then it will be fit as a fiddle who knows stranger things have happened but its in the final

Great to see another entry making it back to the loft I wouldn't worry about the distance it had a few prep races so being out 4 weeks may give it extra motivate to get home now back there

Strange things do happen O/S I would suggest & more times than many would confess too I would suspect with our birds etc. Wouldn't worry about the 70/200 odd mile trick there with our little champ, as I was talking to a gun flyer at the weekend at the toss unit here on Sunday & he clocked one having it's first race at around 300 miles as such.

Knackered. Agree. Distance not a problem. Weather is. Results so far for this Fed 900 mpm and not many home. Glad I skipped it.
