| Thanks all. Joyce and I had a good time. Rained hard first night. But good then till late Thursday. Spent a day in Poole Friday. Seen a few pigeons circling... wanted to stop lol. But was amazed to see a flock 'Racing' going hell for leather. Maybe late bred and owner giving the odd toss on good days. ;Like I did.
Remember well Newcombe article in BHW where he said had bad season after bad seasons. So so 'Stuff that and trained then in winter in adverse weather. Those reported he said he made a offer for them to keep as he didn't want them etc. said 'Only the birds wanting to be in my loft are here now, and it raised his barr right up and he became a very good fancier. I agreed somewhat with him. I believe unless a pigeon wants to be in the loft then 'Homer are the best you will ever get them. Now the art is to find them with the 'Love of Home' and wanting to be there. The first 3 C's eh! |
