My apologies!! Nothing to do with the Forum or its members! I am sorry if I gave that impression. My wife is pretty sick. Time and care needed come first. Medical bills for drugs is outstanding. Race birds for next year get picked up Sunday. Usual friend will take any I have. Will have stock birds. Raise youngsters. Will fly them if possible. Friend will fly a bunch for me, different location.
David. Did not know you looke3d in to Facebook. Any way may as well post pics on here. First is nesting material. Other is sharp shinned hawk keeping the wild bird feeders from getting over crowded.

What's that special nesting material? Any big wins from your birds just hope they aren't drug tested.

Never doubted you for a minute Hal, trust your wife is recovering and pray things will soon be back to normal.

I know from personal experience the conflicts that arise when illness becomes a problem.

thanks for the update hal, we / i didnt originally think you had a problem with the forum, we know you are no snowflake .........but because you are a "friend" on facebook i sometimes receive notifications of posts you make, likewise you will the other way round...........which made me start to wonder, why post on face book but not on the forum.

Facebook can skip through. Here usually read everything. Have more time now. Last week and one before were pretty hectic. Hence downsizing birds etc,. Winter is a coming, frost last night.

Can understand your predicament Hal.

My first wife was a devout JW, she contacted cancer at the age of 49, I said why would God not protect you, why you? she said " Why not me, if everyone was a JW to be protected from life's problems everyone would get on the band wagon for all the wrong reasons"

After a distressing 12 months my wife died, we had a daughter and son, the son was 22 and the daughter 20, my daughter was engaged to be married so I brought the wedding forward so that my wife could attend our daughters wedding
.made the best I could for my wife's sake.

At the time I never expected to have the expenses involved in both a wedding (which was attended by over two hundred mainly JWs) and a funeral.

I had a loft of pigeons that had won from all race points both North and South and bred many winners for others.

So I had to sell them to cover both the cost of the wedding and the funeral.

Everything was heart breaking, my only regret is that I did not join my wife as a JW from day one.

The pigeons etc; brought over £2,000 around 35 years ago.

I retained a few favourites and started again a few years later.


So Hal, I can feel for you having had a similar experience.

As for your wife being a devout J.W. you have been blessed with a good wife, whether you believe her beliefs of not.

My wife hasn't much time regards my beliefs. However I try my darnest to be a good husband. I am devout to her, which makes for a good relationship via applying the bibles principles.
I let her have her beliefs and ways... She has her life to live as she feels fit. That's her right! I don't meddle in hers the slightest.  Though she tries to stop mine lol-

Misty, without knowing in the least regard your first wife... I know she done you proud that would be a fact for sure.

Yes, Daz, I had the best wife possible, she lived by the little book, still in the bed side cabinet published by the Watchtower Publications, on how to be a good a good wife.

Just wish I had had one for husbands and had adhered to it at the time.

Lucky the person who does everything right, never met one yet, the thing is realising your mistakes and attempting to make amends, I have made plenty and just wish I had come to my senses sooner.

I am also blessed with my present wife, could not do without her.

Yes the best thing for any man is a good wife … the worse is a bad one, and vica- versa.

Joyce's first husband kept the money and gave her what he thought. Also made all the decisions etc. etc. I'm not calling him.
Joyce appreciates that I'm not good with money. I spend it on anyone and every and anything lol. So I have a small bank account etc. and put the money into hers. She is a responsible spendthrift. Bible teaching says the head of the household is the male. True, and it also says dwelling knowledge. So I am not shirking my responsibly, but being shrewd. Also, I discuss with her any and every decision that concerns us and any way forward. I appreciate her thoughts and views and take it on board. If her way makes more sense than mine, so be it. - Which she does like lol- But if we differ, then we decide my way AND both work towards that end. Neither try and make it not work to try and prove the other wrong etc.
If Joyce and I, die before Armageddon, maybe we will marry again in the new system.
