| I feel, believe that a decent stock loft could be born at a fraction of true cost … and worth. Most send birds with good pedigree … some with a whim and prayer true. But in the main, the lesser priced ones would be more than adequate. Also breeding would be natural out crosses. |

| yes i think your right daz, possible good stock could be bought from one loft auctions, as every entry will be the best the fancier could send, yes some will still be duffers, but i reckon the bloodlines will be there to breed from.
no one pays 120 pound per bird to send cr*p i reckon. |

| I think the one loft races are a good test of a pigeons ability both health and race wise.
They obviously have to contend with pigeons brought up in varying manners.
As I understand it the only treatment prior to going to the loft is the vaccination according to the rules.
However, if some fanciers are just specializing in one loft races and have the advice of vets etc; I cannot see how anyone can tell if the youngsters have received other medication.
Another problem being if a fancier wants to settle a bought pigeon, does the one loft (RPRA) keep the loft open to return the pigeons should they not settle straight away?.
What happens if a lost pigeon is reported some time after the race is over?
At face value, any pigeon going the hole hog deserves a perch in any ones loft.
Regards. |

| Will be some £10 -£25 ones. Don't be put off. Maybe late developers like many … But have proved their homing ability to still be there. Out crosses with give the youngsters vigour.
12 pairs for less than £300! Nigh cert to give a good pay back eh.
How about £120! for a dozen! remember when one could buy decent later bred from decent widowers. Set many a good loft up did that! |
