| Hello, I got a second pigeon from a shelter a few weeks ago and according to the ring it is purebred. Unfortunately they couldn't tell me what breed exactly it is, so I logged into another forum and they said, it might be an English Tipler. Is it true? |

| By the eye it looks like a youngster. Incidentally, outside of the Chicken, Many so-called 'Eye experts' say the tippler has the best eye especially for a racing pigeon. |

| True David, like other. Was with an NHS eye specialist once. We got talking, and I asked him if the eye told him anything regards other parts or happenings regards the body. First of he said that the eye was an indication of health in some areas … That the way the person was feeling in a state of mind, regards being happy, sad or distressed etc. I related I was a pigeon fancier etc. But he smiled when I asked could other things be told regards the nerves, stamina, ability in speed, endurance and much more. When I stated regards 'Eye sign' he shook his head as if I was living in 'Cuckoo land'. Then he laughed and said 'No! of course not'!
However first impressions regard the state of the eye and the mind, maybe the eyes can relate to such, I believe, by told by the state of the eye 'The eye is a mirror of the soul' it is often said, This made sense regards an actual happening to me. Long story short I went the doctors regards an illness. When finishing writing my prescription, he asked 'What are we going to do regards your depression'? 'Depressive! I'm not, nor ever have been depressed' etc. He smiled with a knowing look and stated 'I KNOW you are and have been for some time'! After, Psychoanalyst meetings, it turned out that all and so much was revealed. Times and happening of years back to when very, very young'. Now maybe he first off saw it in my eyes impressions, backed up by being so cheerful usually etc. I am now on top tablet prescription. So yes, I believe that the eye can help regards how the pigeon feels at the time, full stop. |

| Thank you all so much for the warm welcoming! I also thought that she has remarkable eyes. Do you think she looks happy and healthy? Currently she looses a lot of her feathers and she looked a little bit like someone plucked her feathers out in the neck, but it's better now. Also, while she is flying, it makes a strange whistling noise, but someone told me that it's just because of the molting. |

| There is no way from any outward appearance that a pigeons racing capabilities can be determined.
Including eye sign, just look at all the pictures including the eye sign of the big winners in the BWH and the RP, many would not get a second glance on an eye sign show, the same applies to everything else regarding constitution, they come in all shapes and sizes all colours and various eyes.
If there was an easy way all the fun would go down the drain, O, I forgot, it nearly has.
Regards. |

| Eyes can show health. Signs, colours I do not beleive show anything. However, in good perfomers the eye seems to get passed on. Just genetics? Probably. |

| i think you can find certain colour eyes in families either breed well or race well, but thats nothing to do with eye sign as such . |

| You will see Line Bred birds, looking nigh like their ancestors eyes and body and shape and colour. But you know, the abilities are completely different later on. |
