| Will be good to see how the first race goes.
Where there is a will there is a way.
Think there are enough good fanciers to see things go all right.
Although some will have to put more effort in than others.
Good luck anyway.
Regards. |

| Good to see fanciers back on track, would have been a pity to see no racing, just hope no snags crop up.

| dont think we will be able to race with the rpra protocol for marking /clocks ,it looks like we will be sending as trainers for the forseeable future ,looks like our first race will be 2nd june from stratford provided the goverment go into stage 2 of lifting restrictions |

| the basket team have to be under age of 70 and that needs at least 2 members ,that would mean me being one of the 2 along with 1 other member who is also under 70...all the others are too old ,so...i take birds from basket and rubber them up and put into race pannier and verbally tell person info for race sheet from a distance ,ok all good but damn time consuming especially as i would then need to do clocks after basketing and loading pigeons ,would be a long evening and no clubhouse/pub to work from and no outside electric ,also all monies need to be enveloped with correct amount ,now with our members its always mayhem with monies/race sheet one guy always does his sheet in the car park transferring his pigeons from 2 baskets no having thought long and hard and dont forget i have duty to keep my own safe to i/we have decided that we will take other members birds to the head basket station and send as trainers for now and see if the restrictions get lifted further later on in the bigger races ,ets would be much easier but my club is strictly t3 they wont allow ets but they may have to re-think that one...same old david its left to the few to do everything atb |

| right, yes thats along the lines of what i have read darren, its a nightmare by the sounds of it ........same in my club, the ones under 70 are usually the lazy members anyway, plus i cant do it because i have copd, so not allowed .
i know we can take the birds to other clubs to basket, but by what ive heard and read it isnt going to be easy to have a racing season, in fact i cant see many clubs / birds racing unless something drastic happens re restrictions . |

| Seems an absolute nightmare oldstrain even if everything goes well and there are no snags arising.
What happens if there are no under 70s on the odd occasion through unforeseen circumstances?.
Cannot see it working for a season without too many problems.
Hope matters improver quickly.

| yeah thats about it lads so best can hope for is some training from race points we can still compare our times anyway and work our own velocities ,its still something eh still be nice to see um come home i always enjoyed that anyway and would wait for every bird to return on raceday right up until clocks if need be ...we will set clocks for the classic races though in july/august i could set my own for every race no bother and still be in the open result but that would not be fair on the other club members ...all in all i am grateful for a bit of fun seeing them come home |

| Why not for a bit of fun oldstrain do what we did 70 odd years ago, do not bother with clocks, just run to a designated point with the rubber, or in some instances the pigeon.
Just see how fast the old timers can run when called for.

| Sounds a good idea oldstrain, all being involved will maybe be better than normal.
Even when using clocks in normal racing you could do the same.
My money would be on your wife, the less we know about pigeons the better they perform, so either you or Alfie are in for some work.
Regards.
