last 4 ybs i bred this year, only bred a few (most hatched by mistake ) due to covid 19 .........will be going on elimar today, and hopefully find a new home .

if they dont sell im happy to keep them, will replace the 2 i lost when moving loft

Funny time David for selling youngsters.

But some of the on line auction birds are making stupid prices regarding the state everything is in so you never knw.

later than i would have normally sold them misty, due to the virus i didnt plan on breeding......but sometimes ybs hatch by accident dont they, so rather than kill them i prefer to rear them and find them a new home, where hopefully they will race or breed for someone .

nice kit of ybs look very healthy ,i am sure someone will snap them up david

You never no dave the way this year has gone and talks about extending the young bird program they may get raced

auction ended this morning, birds sold and will be heading to their new home in Kettering,Northants, this coming week .........glad when they are gone so i can separate cocks and hens .

i got 2 in the nest about 10 days younger than yours david they will race for sure

ah right, thanks darren, would be nice for them to race for the new owner .......i didnt breed many this year, in fact i only intended to breed 3 for a club member in exchange for a wire aviary for my loft, the others hatched by accident really .

ive sold 8 and am just left with one older bird which im hoping is a hen to replace one i lost whilst moving loft.

Good looking birds David. Coming crunch time soon for me. Intend to get rid of half of them. Hard to decide!Noticed 3 whites, well white little blue griz, white little black griz and white little red griz. Young Cocks. Definite keepers.

Would not dispute any youngster flying at a very young age after seeing a Mr Hall fly two strawberry Smiths Grizzles the whole young bird programme when they still had yellow down on them.

When in partnership we had two young birds not out of the loft for long, loft broken into, these two youngsters were reported in Scotland.

So the ability to fly long distances is there long before we think.

Orientation may be a different matter if not having a good look around the area.

Still much to learn about the ability me thinks.

i do hear from some misty, but not all of them .........i suppose it all depends if the birds achieve anything, or the fancier them selves if they are the type to contact strangers .....
