The hag Fish

Scientists have long been intrigued by a gelatinous slime, or hydrogel, produced by the hagfish. Why the interest? Hagfish hydrogel has been described as one of the “softest elastic biomaterials known.”

Consider: The hagfish is an eellike creature that lives on the seabed. When a predator attempts to eat it, the hagfish ejects a gel from special glands. This secretion contains mucus-forming proteins and thousands of long threads of other proteins. Together, these proteins turn the water around the hagfish into a viscous slime. This slime clogs the gills of would-be predators, prompting them to disgorge the hagfish and flee.

Hagfish hydrogel has remarkable properties. Each of its protein threads is one hundredth the width of a human hair and is up to ten times stronger than nylon. When released into seawater, the mixture of mucus and threads forms a structure similar to a delicate three-dimensional sieve. This structure can retain water 26,000 times its own weight. In fact, the slime is almost 100 percent water!

Scientists have been unable to replicate hagfish hydrogel. “This natural system is far too complex,” says one researcher. Yet, scientists intend to reproduce the protein threads genetically, using bacteria. Their aim is to develop a product that is lightweight, tear-resistant, elastic, and biodegradable. Synthetic protein threads could be used to develop sustainable materials for the textile industry and the medical field. Indeed, the potential applications seem endless.

Does any reasonable person think they could have EVOLVED.

Then look at nature including plant and animal life.

Take oxygen out of the equation and there would be no animal life.

The ocean provides 72% of the worlds oxygen, a real marvelous engineering PLANT.
Far beyond mans understanding in it's complexity.

Without unatural intervention all animals would breed their like, male and female.

There are so many inter dependancies, one species depending on the existance of another that all must have been created at the same time.

The only changes have occurred by mans selective breeding or accidental.

Then go on a hill and look around at the thousands of plant life.

The Light Organ of the Hawaiian Bobtail Squid

A NOCTURNAL hunter, the Hawaiian bobtail squid creates its own light​—not to be seen, but to be unseen—​to blend in with the ambient moonlight and starlight. The animal’s secret is its partnership with light-emitting bacteria. That partnership may also hold secrets that could benefit us, but in a seemingly unrelated way. It may benefit our health.

Consider: The Hawaiian bobtail squid lives in the clear coastal waters of the Hawaiian Islands. Light from the moon and the stars would normally make the silhouette of the creature stand out to predators below. The bobtail squid, however, emits a glow from its underside that mimics ambient night light in both intensity and wavelength. The result is stealth​—no silhouette, no shadow. The squid’s “high-tech” apparatus is its light organ, which houses bioluminescent bacteria that produce just the right glow to camouflage their host.

The bacteria may also help to regulate the squid’s sleep-wake pattern. This interests researchers because the bobtail squid may not be the only creature where there is a link between bacteria and circadian cycles, or daily rhythms in activity. In mammals, for example, bacteria that play a role in digestion may also be associated with circadian rhythms. Disturbances of these rhythms have been linked to depression, diabetes, obesity, and sleep disorders. Hence, the study of the squid’s bacteria-host system may furnish insights into human health.

The chicken and the egg has always been used to cause debate.

It is obvious with little or no thought that the only way the egg could have been produced is from a full grown hen and the egg fetilised by a cock bird also full grown to produce a species. ( also all the food necessary for them to survive}.

If you consider that every living thing depends on the existance of a string of other living things then without much grey matter the only conclusion is that they were all created at the same time.

Just consider the acorn and the oak tree and the life cycle of a butterfly.

Evolution ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????.

Good and logical post Misty.Well, regards the 'Chicken and the Egg' that would mean at least two eggs or chickens.
Male and female.
Now the consensus of eggs and mating one needs at least eggs or chicken to make sure for there is a mating pair.

Then, of course, the mating circle, Timing. or the 'To be mated' being attracted to each other -  for starts.
Then what would be the chances of - say for example just two, male and female being a happening - cause - of that happening. Then two struck by Lightening, or whatever cause live to begin, and in of them at the same time! Besides being a pair mateable!
Plus the endless Billions of accidents etc. involved to get to the next step!

What I would like people to consider is the state the world is going towards and what the consequences would be irrespective of any other consideration.

The Muslims, never mind what thet say, abhor Cristianity and other religions and would given the chance kill anyone not of their faith.

Everything they condemn is being pushed in their faces day after day in all forms of the media.

Sex and abnormalties of many kinds being pushed down youngsters throats as normal.

We have more perverts in positions of influence than ever previously slowly comming out of the closet having been active in gaining positions of influence under cover of being upright citizens.

Just look around the MPS and their cronies.

If you read the Bible, God caused the biggest condemnstion and anhiliation because mainly too many men were homosexual.

If you make genes as an excuse for homosexuality or anything else and is therefore not the persons fault then the same must apply to anything, including murder, nothing anyones fault.

Well Knackered in reatity the truth is, and is easy to see, that the world is in a downward spiril of myrth and desicration. Hopes nand dream having few and far from reality and a good end not in sight. Yet with Hope, one dreams, and the Politicians spout 'It will all turn out great ... out grand children will see to that!
