| Knocking on the door, decent birdage, well done.
I guess result is done in metres per minute ? So about 1400 yards per minute, steady racing day for good returns. |

| Hi Misty, thank you for asking Transporter. we try to reach at liberation spot before few hours of liberation. give them fresh water there and rest before liberation Breeds of pigeons and where you get them from. We have breeds from Belgium and Germany in majority and holland too. Timing ETS etc; we are using Topigeon ETS (V6 and V8) . we loved their realtime arrival update on website/mobile notification. you can see our race arrivals at www.topigeon.comLofts. we have roof top lofts. mostly has front opening loft but I like covered loft with front aviary. Darkness. no Widowhood. mostly fly as separate sexes. mostly we have yearlings to fly, so widowhood or other methods are not famous. but as we are going toward more long distances, few of us started think on these grounds. so hopefully we will try and adopt more advance methods. The Ruling body. in our club we have election after every 2 years to elect ruling body Clubs. almost every major city has its own club and some big cities have more clubs . as hobby is growing , we have more events to participate. like first time trying to have national race many clubs has combine races like inter province etc - MISTY wrote:

| Thanks a million for such a comprehensive reply.
Much appreciated.
Like the fact in your part of the woods things are getting better and more fanciers, and long may it be so, unfortunately our sport has almost been ruined by commercialism and selfishness.
Like the idea of taking cages out of transporter for liberation.
Good luck for the rest of the season, and thanks again.

| Do not want to be too cheeky but it is realy, realy, interesting to me and think some others how fanciers in your country are fairing in the sport.
There are many matters of mutual interest me thinks.
Like the number of artificial products to supposedly make pigeons healthy and perform better.
We have over 200 such.
Then we have posh bags full of polished corn, cannot calculate how many different ones they come out every so often based on who knows what.
The fanciers who have money to burn build lofts like bungalows and some have loft managers.
Many treat their pigeons every year for many different possible health problems and we have one compulsary vacination that all pigeons going to races must have.
Years ago the sport was mainly for the working class, allotment mainly fanciers when some found money could be made they came in and have ruined the sport.
We have several health problems that go the rounds every year.
Young Bird Sickness being one, worms, cocci, etc; etc;
Some involve vets and have their birds checked for problems, they often find one but Hey, worry not, they have an expensive cure.
Would send an asprin or two for you after reading that lot.
But as said, would be very interesting and appreciated to learn how your country deals with the sport and the same applies if you have any questions regarding our sport.
Regards. |
