| I bought a sack of beans yesterday from a farm shop, as I always have a pot of beans in front of the parents when they’re feeding the youngens, when I got home and opened the sack about a quarter of them are hollow, in well pissed off, I don’t mind the odd one but the youngens wouldnt be getting any goodness. I’m going to take them back this morning and maybe try and change them for maples if they’ve got any, it’s about a 14 mile round trip, so the price of this bloody bag of grub including diesel money is escalating. Of course the misses is very understanding |

| bad luck there. If hollow it sounds like they had the weevils in so the rest of the bag probably iffy too. Might not be their fault if they buy them in pre-bagged. Not worth the shop getting bad name so they should see sense and swap them, try them out for free grit or something for wasting your time, cover fuel cost if nothing else. Or bunch of flowers for missus considering today's date..... |

| If they are that bad boosey the farmer must know they are poor quality and should sell them as seconds.
Would POLITELY ask for a refund and compensation, depending on how big the farmer is.
Good luck.

| Have no idea how this farm shop thing works.
When wanted farm beans I went to the actual farm and later to a trusted friend who I used for over 45 years until I packed in and still use for rabbit and the wild bird stuff knew he would only get the best.
Does the farmer actually run the shop or a shop obtain goods from FARMERS plural?.
Regards. |

| Took them back snd they said someone else returned a bag yesterday, he offered money back but I exchanged them for maples, which were £3 dearer, snd when I went to the till it was a minimum purchase of £5 with a card so I had to buy 2 pickpots aswell. The farmer said they didn’t grow tick beans this year snd bought these ones in. |
