Only got 7 to race but they're all on chipping eggs or just chipped babies. Would love to put them out in this early spring weather but always the odd hawk prowling up the hedges here.

Totally agree with that for sure , plus with my massive team I have birds for all occasions. Short and middle distance. Head winds , fast days ect ect . Plus half are hens which can go all season, cocks peak for 6 weeks. That's why I pair my team up at different times so they peak at different stages

14 hens to race, 2 paired to one cock so 7 of these hens are feeding babies now then before they lay 2nd round they get taken off with the yb's and the next hens go in but these will be split off after 2 or 3 days before they lay. See how it goes anyway.
