first 8 dropped together, .........the benzing seemed slow registering some of the birds i thought

is there anyone there calling the birds in, some seem to be sat around for quite a while, no incentive to trap ......

doesnt look like anyone there waiting for them .......

i was just looking at estamated velocities on the benzing site, and it was in the 1600`s, few mins later around 10 past 10,  8 dropped together ......

velocities for the first birds were just under 1500`s i think

around 40 birds home after an hour, around 100 to come ..........(or there abouts )

if it were yer own team you would be dissapointed at the times eh ,most should be home within an hour of the first bird and certainly after 3 hours of the first arrivals from 167 miles ,to me they are not motivated at all

Said from day one, not being motivated, a real  shambles, worse than a poor club race.

No excuse, any reasonably motivated pigeon having flown the full programme the previous few months should make this distance a walk in the park.

The best way would have to sent them reasonably hungry.

One blue cock lost at least 10 positions mucking around on the landing board and then flying onto the roof.

Like watching paint dry.

Can see there being half a basket  full for the final.

More than disappointing.

Just hope 93 turns up.

yes i was watching the blue cock misty, messed around on the trap for ages .........the birds dont look motivated at all, i know hes racing roundabout, but have they all got mates, or have their mates been lost previously , who knows eh

Yes David, cannot make out  how many cocks and hens there are , surely there should be the same number of each although I have not a clue how it works.

Just keep having a look and hope our little girl turns up.

yeah being raced on roundabout with a free for all prior to basketing and on return ,nothing paired as such ....they call it the chaos system probably suits cocks very well as its almost widowhood eh when racing roundabout with matched pairs i found the hens very motivated and would beat the cocks 7/10 is what it is now eh so lets just hope 93 turns in to have another go

its just like how ive raced ybs .......keep them seperate then allow to run together before basketing .

I'm with you in some ways here David with your last comment etc One thing I did know thou here was how to at least get them home, from blow homes in 160 odd mile type races as such which really should be just a pleasant type walk in the park for the average race pigeon on average I suggest.

Terrific news etc O/S always had faith here our little champ would turn up eventually Just hope now they give her a well earned rest from the next race there as such, as she has truly earned it I suggest after her ordeal .

yes pleased as punch to say the least for 93 and the lads n lasses here and down the school as theres talk they may let them watch the final ,as for racing end of next week from alnwick ...well it looks a strong headwind for thurs/friday but of course that could change
