Just proves David,  there is something sadly amiss.

Pigeons dive for cover at the first opportunity with regard to raptors, they do not emigrate. (although would not blame them).

How did the club racing go at the weekend, Peel Bros and barnie etc;?.

Regards.

I didn't send Misty, damp heavy fog all weekend, not much better this weekend so may not send again. I'm not one that has to send just because the transporter is coming, these have had 4 or 5 races up to nearly 200 miles, 13 left from 16 started season so if I have to I'll park them up for next year. They were too late to race as YBs last year so at least they have some experience under their belts. I've kept them too long to chuck away on the last few races considering the weather we're experiencing. Time will tell if I done the right thing I guess?

Thanks for update barnie.

Think many fanciers wish they had done the same.

Think this year will prove to be a real test for many fanciers regarding staying  in the sport.

I have never known a season go so wrong so early.

Just hope  they do not throw our OL young birds away.

Just feel for all the fanciers who have lost good pigeons for unknown reasons with no prospect of it not happening again and again because we do not know why.

Just hope things buck up.

Regards.

We know pigeons do funny things at times O/S Smile Smile But really Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes start off in Scotland, in theory they head south to England etc with a tail wind bounce bounce but somehow strangely they then finish up in Ireland somehow Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Now  Smile  Smile in defence of Jeremy & his crew as such  Wink  Wink I will tell a tale of whoa of sorts bounce  bounce in a pigeon sense. Middle distance race here, back when. Blokes  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes waiting waiting & waiting, kicking the cat to fill in time & wise partners knew not to step out in the yard for safety sake, because sadly very few birds had been clocked all round at the time. Grape vine then had a pigeon reported from the race which made most blokes then grumpy I'm  affraid Pigeon was actually around 250 odd miles south of were it should have been on the day here in Tasmania etc & crossing our Bass Strait here & flying all up 600 odd miles to get there, when most blokes were still waiting to clock on the home front at around 350 miles  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes. cheers
