i know most of our members are a bit disgruntled with the way the rpra one loft is going, so if we continue as a syndicate it might be worth looking at other one lofts to see if we can find something better .

knackered has come accross this one we might want to take a look at

Hopefully we can find a few more etc David Smile Smile out there to compare as such Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes if & when the times comes to move on in a pigeon sense. Many variable's come with these type races I've found over time on average & my way of thinking is, one must have a good loft structure on the health side & be capable on handling at least a 1000 to 1500 odd birds to cover all basis, if a disaster type moment occurs along the way there sadly to just get too the end maybe with a satisfactory type result for those hoping, hopefully to just live the dream in certain ways  Wink  Wink. End of the day thou here  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes matters little to me now  lol!  lol!  lol! as I'm about to make contact  Wink  Wink with those Russian beauty types down below  lol!  lol!  lol! who want my body for love & my pittance of a fortune  Very Happy  Very Happy.  cheers

thanks knackered that would be helpful .......how the rpra copes with 1,500 young birds is beyond me, but then again they need the large number of entries to create the prize money .

i dare say once they have all the monies in, it wont be a priority to keep as many birds during training / racing .

I know it's easy to be critical etc David Smile Smile (something, I tend not to do)  Wink  Wink  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes when talking those type numbers bounce bounce in a OLR sense. For myself thou Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes that's not the main issue here. It's simply the management structure behind the number that in general on average collapses somehow along the way I'm affraid. End of the day here Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes in some ways bounce bounce where now reached the half way mark in losses to a degree Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad & we have somehow reached the grand distance now of 23 miles tragically for nearly half of the birds there at the start of the preceding's Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes apparently, cheers

Would like to think we will get through the Winter with reasonable
success and also end up with our two triers in the final this year.

Think they have have done well under trying circumstances.

Things are far from predictable and after the fiasco of the yearling race
and the present young bird fiasco we would be rather foolish not to
look elsewhere as an alternative.

Perhaps an alternative that has reasonable limit on entries and good record
over a few years would be better even were the entry fees higher.

There will always be losses in such races, but not as in the RPRA OLR.

Think we have been badly let down but bet some have none left in and we
have two.

Just hope we can find an acceptable alternative.

Regards.

i dont remember previous years being like this, just some reason the whole management seems to have changed this year...........yes, i certainly feel the birds and the fanciers who entered, have been lat down this year .
