Same old tripe making sure the clique have all the say and the sport continues to be ruined.

| What beats me David, Selby Thomas ran the whole lot on his own when I was a kid and far larger membership than now.
Membership going down fast through natural causes, very few new members and the same old clique runnng matters, some not even proper fanciers.
The Reddings had to go because it was past it's best, maintenance etc; made it a burden rather than an asset, but not sure if the sale was handled in the best interests of the members.
Not to worry, soon all business will be run from a shed at the bottom of the garden. If left to the present idiots and the grinning baboons you see every week in the BHW with winners their hands and nota care for the sport in general, selfish does not begin to cover the matter.
ROLL ON.

| i read elsewhere the rpra bought an old run down church when they sold the readings ........so money will need to be spent there to get it useable .
i wonder who bought the readings, and how much for , and how much healthier is the rpra bank balance due to the sale ..... |

| Cannot find a price they sold it for David but they were thinking of buying land for liberation sites with the prospect of making a fortune in the future if planning permission was granted.
Like so much of the RPRA carry ons, CLOAK AND DAGGER.
Just glad I am not a youngster starting up and grateful I enjoyed the best years in the sport.

| personally i dont think its the rpra`s job to buy land to make profit on in future, they are an organisation for the sport of pigeon racing, not a developement company ......i also dont think they should be buying land for liberations either, theres no need .
seems like those running the show are using the rpra and what it stands for to further their own agenda . |

| Been the same all along after around the 60s, only those who should know do know, fact is every member should know everything that affects the sport in any way.
Sport went down hill when real fanciers were replaced with monied, plenty money no brains, other than for further self interest.
Fanciers to blame, as long as they could fly their pigeons not worried about any body or anything done in their name, same today.
Never change the APATHY in our sport, in fact too late to do so. no chance David of the sport surviving in any meaningful manner.

| Along with my friend John Bennet (HARAMBEE BHW) we took up an examination, paryticulary pensions for RPRA employees, along with insurance fees, salaries, cars etc;
This in the 70s.
Was like trying to get blood from a stone, all wrapped up secrecy, appears the same today.

| Not the General Managers oldstrain, met many of them, it is the OLd Clique that is the problem.
The General Managers job is a good position with a fair salary, so why do so many leave ??????.
Pity is when those who have ruined the sport die off they have corrupted those who take their place.

| Do not know for certain David, but would think no one could give the proper attention unless available almost all working hours in the day.
We have had some realy good General Managers I feel who have been dismayed at the manner the sport is run, and left.
The one thing that sticks in my mind is when several ELECTED Council members who wanted an in depth investigation into the RPRA affairs were voted off the Cuncil by the other Council members in a vote of no confidence.
In fact it is only those who voted them onto the Council who could do so.
But then, with the Clique running matters they make up the Rules as they go along, and the membership let them.
Far too late unfortunately to do anything about it too many bad apples involved.
Same applies even at club level, we have it in our area, give people a write up and you can get away with lying underhand dealing etc;
Also in many other areas, I have had numerous letters from fanciers, over the years, having the same problems in their areas and asking for help, I had to say we have the same problems and without the backing of the majority their is nothing youcan do, and as long as the majority can fly their pigeons that is ALL they care about. APATHY, APATHY.
