2021 YB Final

YOUNG BIRDS 2021 FINAL RACE
September 20th, 2021
The RPRA One Loft Young Birds Final Race 2021 is scheduled to take place on Sunday 26th September, weather permitting.

You are welcome to attend the final at Pigeon House, Rye Street, Birtsmorton, Malvern, Worcestershire WR13 6AS.

There will be a marquee at the loft with seating outside. Light refreshments will be provided at the site free of charge. A barbeque will be fired to provide beefburger and bacon baps at a small charge.

As per current government policy, there is no restriction on outdoor gatherings, but please always take a safe approach in gathering around other people. If you go into our marquee, you are asked to wear a face covering and keep a distance from others around you.




Please check the website for the latest updates before you leave for the One Loft, as the time and date is subject to change.

For directions, please key WR13 6AS into your SatNav. Once your SatNav says you’ve reached your destination, you will still need to go a little bit further until you reach ‘Pigeon House’ on your right side. Please park in the designated parking area.

Thanks for all that etc David what do you think thou about an old bloke with a stick & a walker now at the moment      maybe dropping in & having a wee friendly type chat with Jeremy there as such with his simple thoughts on certain issues       in a pigeon O/L race type sense.

We have our two back, appears to have  been an easy ride.

Just hope that is the LAST trainer.

glad to hear they are back misty, fingers crossed for 2 in the final , i think they both deserve to get there .....

i reckon there will be 1 more i hope i am wrong ...is what it is its out of our hands ,basketing saturday for sunday final looks more and more likely as the week progresses

yes darren i reckon there will be more yet, probably up to thursday / friday ...?

yeah 1 more trainer i reckon either tomorrow or thursday ...looks like about 500 ybs will be going to alnwick

Sounds Ok etc O/S I may just pop along also & discuss with Jeremy as such my chances of putting a few crows in his race for next year there     after my recent type experience here with them .

My money would be on the crows Knackered.

Can see in one sense the trainers but at this stage it needs only one real hiccup and the whole thing go up in flames.

2/3rds of the originals have been lost, to me this is not a reasonable result and to have even one loss at this stage so close to the final would be unacceptable.

Just hope for all concerned things go well if there are any more trainers.

we got our 2 from todays trainer ,i reckon maybe 1 more tomorrow if the weather allows ...weathers not looking so good now for sundays final with alot of cloud cover

Thanks oldstrain, cannot make sense nor reason of it.

Missed the actual trainer, when we got back I put our name into the box where it just gives our result.

It came up with the previous training result and I did not realise.

In any case we are still in with a good chance and far more than many unlucky fanciers who would wish to be in our shoes.

Irrespective of any other consideration I think we have had our monies worth.

Just wish all the pigeons had been handled in a better manner, but 2,000, I would not want the job.

big numbers to manage at the start, how they cope with that amount i dod not know .........but then again, they need the numbers to provide the prize money.

You know I know absolutely nothing type of thing here etc David so I ask the simple question. What actual percentage of money raised there in the pot is actually payed out in prize money as such & do they ever actually produce a balance sheet type statement for all to see type of thing.

no idea knackered, i dont remember seeing one, although i would imagine they would ....but adding up 1,500 birds at £125 each would give something around the £187,500 mark acording to my calculator, how much is paid out in total prize money and how much is profit i dont know .

cold and windy here, lets hope the weather is ok where he is going to train from, and along route .

Hope  weather very bad and training stopped.

Can go to the well once too often and can see no sense nor  reason in any more training, if it turns out bad then the pigeons that have a hard time will not have time to recover for the final.

i agree misty, a bad one could ruin the final, and a lot of disapointed fanciers .....

Can't see any sense in any more tosses. TRAINING!!! train fwhat and for what ... just an appeasement for some fools thinking that they are looking after and doing fine by the birds... Sadly, a very large percent will believe their balony. Yes! Even believe and take their side etc. making excuses. Flimsy and stupid though that they may be!

i agree daz, too near the final for my liking ........no matter how good the training toss some will not home, or home late, then its game over for the fanciers who sent them , hoping to get to the final .

yesterdays benzing has been cleared so they are indeed going for a final toss about now or shortly
