race days

Hi,
we in club had discussion about no of days given to race ,before we close it. we were discussing 700,800,900KM races. Currently we race upto 800KM and clocks remain open for 2 days. But some members asked to see how other clubs worldwide doing it.
Are you racing 2 days for these distances or more days ?

hi over 500 miles (800km) generally 3 days up here.

Yes England and race is held when daylight hours at maximum so nearest to 21st June

800Km & over down here Tanveer 5 days etc. More times than not thou all over in two days on average. Encouragement factor there thou I suggest could maybe be the way forward being some what new I believe for you there when talking distance type racing. As a bird clocked on the 3rd, 4th or even 5th day may just inspire some to do better if given a prize or even a simple card for the effort when one is in the early stages of flying distance type events. End of the day the talk the talk scenario is easy, but distance birds in general don't drop out of the sky in bunches for most folk types I've found in my time here except maybe perhaps somehow when some are having a dream time moment of a fantasy type nature in their head    .
