| Royal Pigeon Racing Association The Avian Influenza Code of Practice has been updated and may be downloaded from the RPRA website at: https://www.rpra.org/avian-influenza-code-practice.../ The code is based on the legal requirements, and every member and organisation should read the document. In addition it will provide clarity in respect of what can be done if your loft is situated within a disease control area. To establish if your loft is in a disease control area please visit the APHA's interactive map. |

| I'm in 10km zone so can't train until restrictions lifted. Can't move pigeons out or bring pigeons inside the radius without license. Can't race next weekend. Tougher restrictions on those within 3km radius I believe. Hopefully common sense prevails and once the chicken farms affected get the all clear then we get back to normal. |

| Nightmare barnie.
No idea what is on from day to day.
Make all arrangements and spoilt at any time.
What I cannot understand is as far as I am aware pigeons have never passed the decease on nor ever had it.
Annoying to say the least.
Regards. |

Cannot understand this at all David. Had a good look into it and it has been around since the 1800s. Never caused humans problems so far as I can make out. Then I read that it could possibly be the cause of the next pandemic in humans and several scenarios in between. Strange ???????. Regards. |

Think you are right David, the papers full of our representatives unacceptable behaviour and I feel the ones found out are the tip ot the iceburg, each covering up for the others. Perhaps if we knew the truth we would be in a dingy rowing our way to foreign lands. Afraid a unhappy situation all round. Best to make the best we can of a sad situation. Regards. |
