The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.

Apparently they are cancelling the first yb race thus weekend due to the weather not sure how true it is . Just waiting on confirmation. Not often that happens.

Weather forecast appears reaonable for the weekend hope you get a race, you take care of the pigeons all year round and even the loss of one race is disapponting.
Reading the reports all round, including OL races the sport has had a very poor all round season so far.
Read where we could have another bought of 40 odd degree temperatures, no good for man nor beast.
Never have I known so many problems all at the same time.
Just hope you get a race.

Up North Combine have cancelled Ray it's poor forecast for saturday and sunday too risky for first YB race apparently. I'm sure it was well considered before decision made. I guess it's pointless sending just to haul them back home gain, gives lads not ready an extra week though.

Most first young bird races are no more than a training toss.
Surely there must be a break at some time during the day to enable a short race to take place.
Think molycoddling is the reason many lofts are full of duds.
Only train on good days and you only have good day performers.
Never trained myself but if I could not have had open hole all the time would have trained in all weathers.

last week was our clubs first yb race, but it was cancelled due to weather, this weeks race was flown on monday the 25th and our 2nd yb race really .
