| im planning on making a flight on the front of mine george, ive some roof tiles that match the roof, but i need to buy the 2x2 framework yet, but with the price of wood and materials at the moment it will have to wait ..........plus i wanted to extend the loft, but ant justify the cost at the moment |

David I made mine out of 1" aluminium box section, bit more work but it was actually cheaper than using timber frame and never rots. |

David if you use weldmesh you just put a pop rivet through a mudwing/penny washer over the square mesh and into the frame, maybe 10 inch spacing depends on wire guage. Faster than nailing staples into timber too. I'm going to modify my yb trap next few weeks and just priced aluminium box section at £23 for 5 metre length, be around £20 for 44 x 44mm PSE timber from somewhere like Wickes and it will be all shapes and full of knots too. |
