| All nice looking birds, wish I couldĀ start up again would give you a visit.
Found it gives as much pleasure helping others as helping yourself.
In particular when money is not involved.
But overcrouding amounts to failure.

| Got pigeon lung and felt tired all the time and could not do even the limited amount of work it took to look after my feathered friends, would not have been fair.
I originally set outĀ Ā to win from every race point in the club I flew in from both North and South, with both old and young birds, although winning wad not what I got the most peadure from, seeing my feathered friends having the time of Old Riley on total open loft was reward enough.
The only race point missing was Dunbar with young birds so I gave it one last go, I won several Old bird races including THurso and 3rdand 4th Lerwick after two of my six entries escaped at basketing.
Also two young bird races and YES Dunbar was one of them.
Although it broke my heart I immediately offered any fancier the whole racing and breeding team free.
They were picked up the next day.
Could not have stood and watched them go in ones or twos etc;
Have over the years given fanciers pigeons that have made their day just as good a doing it yourself.
Still miss them and look out of the window and shed a few tears.
My wife is sat next to me and wonders about the tears.
Regards. |

Regards . not sure if i ever told you misty, before you joined the forum i had read your letters to the editor in the BHW regularly ........i always remember thinking this man is giving them a run for their money, and standing up to them, not taking any of their sh*t .......when you joined us here i recognised who you were, and have been thankful for the input and support you have given the forum . |

| Thanks David.
My only concern was to attempt to make our sport progress and in the right manner, after realising the corrupt people at the top were not interested in anything but protecting their position, and in devious ways.l
Made friends world wide who I corresonded with due to my involement in both the BHW and the RP.
Great pity fanciers did not take up arms agains the CLIQUE.
Regards. |

| it seems the clique is more powerful than ever now misty, it seems the rpra "management" serve their own agenda .....members and birds are not a concern. |
