Same weather here, but with a strong wind, not nice when walking into it.

yes all went well thank you misty, vet said she is a very strong dog and surprised at her recovery ........some stitches to come out thursday, others the week after.

he said she is well behaved qnd doesnt attack them when im not there, he says she is protecting me ......im a bad influence on her

i put more straw in empty nestboxs see if can get few more breeding

ive a hen not interested in her usual partner, but i think she was paired to another hen while separated, hopefully give her a few days and she will be pairing up ok ...

i had a pair that wanted to nest on a perch so extended it she left the eggs and are now in a nest box was able to move the eggs to other loft they will use them as feeders

David if you can put her somewhere for 2 or 3 days where she can't even see another pigeon, feed her tight but not starve, she'll be keen to pair to anything after her isolation

i had split my hens months ago but still 4 from 7 will not pair up

Maybe heard about the JOKE brigade and transgender David.

Give her some small seed heat he up and put her in a section on her own for a couple of days and then put the cock you want her paired to in.

She must have been reading all the rubbish presently in the papers every day.

just opened the nest box on the hen thats reluctant to pair up, and they are both straight in and in the bowl ......all sorted

when i first let the hens in i kept the boxes closed so as to not get anyone going in the wrong box etc, once i saw the cock and hen knew where they were i opened the box, this pair didnt show any signs until i open the door and in they went happy ...

something learnt there eh .

Friday looks only dry day here before Sunday

went on the school trip today to a ww11 museum with alfies classroom and had 6 kids under my wing ...what a great day it was and my group won the questions and answers competition very rewarding working with the children but we got caught in heavy showers a few times which was the order of the day in the west country

Well done O/S certainly take the boredom factor there out of life I suggest & suspect also Alfie would be rather proud somehow of dads efforts etc. Weather wise here today Wet one could maybe say  as all morning I've been cleaning windows outside with my pressure water cleaner, being in the thirties again today before it apparently hits 40 odd local time for this coming weekend.

Are these pigeons you have had a while and bred from previously or new ones.

Under normal circumstances should be fighting fit and raring to go.

Or are you changing pairings from previous years ?.

Hard to know what's going on without all the circumstances.
