birds getting old

some of my birds that are now getting old up to 12 years old this year and not now breeding of

my oldest bird is an 05 pigeon, so will be 18 years old this year......he is a lefebre dhaenen chequer of nigel cawood / jimmy richards lines .

this is a picture i just came across recently of a son of his bred quite a few years ago , i gave him away and regretted it .

no george, last young birds i bred off him was about 5 years ago.........i only have 1 daughter and 1 grandson off him now .

with the grizzle cock all the grizzles from him the tail shoots up
the blue cock has not filled eggs for 2 years

Would bet George, as many pigeons, pro rata whose tails lifted won as much as any others.

i have only had it in grizzles from him have you misty  had many over the years were tail shoots up and what do other members think who has  a bird in there loft were tail shoots up and has been raced

tail shooting up ? agility or weakness ? have had them win with such as yb ...just looks odd eh

i give 3 grizzles away as ybs i know one fancier who had 2 still has one the other he told me it was first bird out and would fly for ages but went down in it's first race

yes never did like it either misty

it happen these when as young as 21 days old 

they looked ok 

Condition of the pigeons George at their age a credit to you.
