| Same here, back today but loads off where I work with covid and flu, I had this right over the holidays along with my wife. Tested negative but all the hallmarks of full blown Covid. At least the heating was fixed at work and not a lot of urgent jobs to look at. |

| The work isn’t too bad but the work place damp and cold no good for you when all jobs that come in you have to lie on the floor never had the luxury of a ramp |

One thing for certain you will never be out of work you have potholes and speed bumps working overtime for you. After driving for over 70 years my mechanic friend took me out on a run to see why my clutch packed in. He said it was caused during crawling, stop starting, in the long lines of traffic and becoming a little upset. One thing for certain the AA employ some grand chaps. Rang them, told them the situation, where the car was parked, AA man knocked on the door, asked for the keys told me to stay where I was and he would deliver it to my friend's garage. Friend returned the car next day to the door. Now taking calming down lessons, anger not a good thing. Regards. |

some cheap second hand hydraulic lifts on the internet mark, seen one the other day £250 plus two for £900 each which have just been inspected and still in use ...... mind you i`d be wary of working under one of them ........ |

| The thought of having a car lift make my life a lot easier never used one in 40 years though as the problem is the height of the roof in the workshop it’s only about 8 maybe 9 foot tall |

| yes thats a problem mark the height of the roof .....but as you say, life would be so much easier eh . mines due for mot and servicing soon, have taken all our cars to the same mot station for nearly 30years, only ever fail one, a bmw with a petrol leak on the fuel tank. will be looking for a new mechanic for the service this time, the fella that did it was gradually getting worse each year, this year he tied the under tray on with tie wraps, plus screws out of the air filter box missing ......had to buy new screws and fixings and re fit the under tray my self, so he wont be getting my custom again this year. |
