A Friend Indeed'

No one likes to lose a friend
When they have been faithful to the end
The pain is very hard to bear
Everything for a time is just a blurr
But when one looks back and can say
We had a joyful time each day
To ease the pain it may be best
To look back and say our friend is now at rest.

helps a lot that misty, the pain of loosing a faithful friend stays with us, we just become more able to cope eh ....

quiet around the house misty, her toys and lead are still around the house, cant bring my self to move them yet ....

Takes time David, can still have a little cry (and not ashamed to say so) when I think of past experiences with our animal pals, they give devotion wether earned or not and money cannot buy that.

Then I think, would I have wanted to miss such experiences ???????.

daughters just here visiting her mam, she said isnt it quiet without her, the house seems empty she said .........we have just opened the paw print the vet did for us last saturday, i collected it yesterday, its a print of her paw into polystyrene in a little display case ....

Will be raw for some time David.

When we lost Meg our border collie we said that was it no more dogs.

We kept her ashes for years, actually until earlier this year when we spread them in the garden, you never actually know if the vets play fair.

However, after a time we decided to get a pup, hence Misty, would be lost without him.

He is now 11 years old and hopefully we will grow old together, would not have missed having him for anything.

Early days David hopefully better days to come.

Time eases but never cures.
