Decent velocities and apparently good returns, better than 5 milers.

Bit harsh there maybe 5 or 300 just wonder which the birds would prefer/choose there somehow .

basketing saturday for a sunday race this week ......

Our club birds were liberated at 9.30 in a west south west wind after a hold over .....

Baskets get Thursday this week for a Friday race due to weather ....

4 members sent 42 birds 56 miles to newark, this was our first young bird race, liberated into a brisk west south west wind .

not many members sent due to bad weather and it being the first young bird race .

same old story with to-days fanciers saving them for next year years ago fanciers would sent there birds to all the races

birds basketed yesterday for a race today, no liberation yet due to bad weather .

our club breeder buyer starts on the second young bird race, that may have played a part in the poor turn out for the first race, along with poor weather .....

well done all in what seemed to be a tough race

first 2 birds were timed in just under 1 and half hours george .

must be me David i thought the vel was low

i think it is george .......

basketing today again for a friday race due to poor weather conditions at the weekend .....

been told of 3 members leaving our club after this season, they are going to another one a few miles up the road , asked me if i was going but i`ll stay where i am ..........for now anyway .

I agree & especially to Bryon Morris there type thing for simply turning up & presenting a clock as such. End of the story in my club down here he would receive a block of chocolate as a general reward & also encouragement etc to perhaps achieve better things .

Byron Morris is our youngest member and in his first season racing, he sent to a few old bird races sometimes sending one bird......this latest young bird race he sent 4 or 5 in can't remember , so yes he deserves credit for his efforts and commitment.
