promotion !

yes alfies football team got promotion as they finished runners up he is well chuffed they played 20 games won 14 drew 2 and lost 4 ,alfie broke into the team as a regular half way through the season and scored 1 and assisted in 6 goals ,not bad for a defender but he is being moved into midfield next season which is his favorite position ,we are very pleased as he is playing with a team above his age group and coping very well with it ...up the rangers

thanks lads i show alfie your replies it gives him a boost ,we got a 7 a side competition tomorrow its a hot one with bristol city and bristol rovers academy teams entering ...we need to be other side of town for 8am so 6am start for us,i usually have a lay in til 8am on a sunday

Trivial fact of the day Genetics thing, but did you know a son will always be taller than his mother unless he had a set back early in life, something medically serious like polio for example ?

strange things genetics colin, when you look at height in some people.....i remember the boxer joe calzaghe , he was around 5`10 -11, yet his dad was not much over 5ft, so i imagine his mother must have been tall for a woman.......yet my wifes brother was 6` 2" and their mother was around 5`2".

i know jews follow the jewish bloodlines of the mother , rather than the father, so maybe we inherit more from the mother than the father ...???

I know what you mean David actually always had a suspicion here my grand mother (god bless her) on my mother's side     come from Alice Springs type thing being dark in nature, somewhat.

Terrible thing Polio, Colin. Had a good mate at school, back when unfortunately, infected by it type of thing. Just terrible, terrible    what he had to bare most days & something nobody really deserves to have type thing & especially more so I suggest/suspect when young & youthful etc.
