Weather could still be far better.

Managed to get appointment for eye test next Tuesday.

Just watched the Weakest Link.

Think Walsh ruins it, hair style changes make me laugh, like a teenager, then
he asks the contestants the questions slower and repeats there answers and says yes and
repeats the answer like yes and repeats the answer.

Pulls stupid faces and attempts to belittle some contestants.

Other than that I like it, my wife think it's great.

what one must put up with Misty at times. Trash abounds these days I'm sadly on our TV's in  general I suggest. Oh, Oh, OH   for the days of a bit of enjoyable type viewing as such with a bit of upper class attached somehow, like as a fine example      Steptoe & Son maybe etc.  

Love One Foot In The Gave Knacked, Only Fools and Horses, Bulls Eye, Porridge etc;

Now a load of tripe, more silly cookery programs than anything, the only thing they have not cooked is their goose, worse luck.

Foot in the grave one of my Joyces favourite shows down here etc Misty for many years. Always asks me when watching it what am I doing on TV type thing .

rained earlier, stopped for now but its coming cold ........ will need to get wrapped up when we go for our evening walk

dry and looks like that for the week

Wind off the North Sea and freezing with it does not make a pleasant walk in the morning.

Sunshine deceiving, not looking forward to the WINTER,

Most of the flowers have had it and anyone wanting beach leaves from beech hedge let me know, it is a pick your own method.

MISERABLE, both me and the weather.

Tried to book eye test at nearest option, the person authorised to use the new machine has left and they have not got another one.

So have booked one in Redcar 11.30 am next Tuesday.

Around 70 mile round trip.

Not looking forward to it, just hope the weather is favourable

Will have to go alone, cannot leave Misty that long alone and would not let anyone else look after him other than my wife.

LIFE ?????.

Just looked it up 48 miles, so round trip 96 mies.

DVLA TEST David you have to go where they tell you.

They have introduced a new machine and only a few opticians have it yet.

Used to go to Scarborough  but their machine is out of date.

Believe me were there any other option.

They gave me four options, Hull, Cottingham, York, Redcar.

Cottingham nearest, they said the person able to use it had left so they could not offer to do it, would have been the best know it well.



York is impossible to negotiate, no parking and tail to tail traffic, If you  do not know exactly where you want to be you would get lost.

Hull the same as York.

So has to be Redcar, think they are attempting to sicken the older drivers off.

Should point out David can only see with one eye and also have glucoma.

Do not blame them for the test in one way it is a field test.

Not worried about the test it is getting there on time.

Ordinary or to put it more bluntly Misty a total disgrace I'm   from my perspective here, that you are required to travel so far at your age for treatment there. 4th largest town in the country apparently by google, with a population of around 60,000 odd it appears. If I didn't know better I could have thought, quite easily you maybe lived out in black fella type country, amongst the flies down here      instead of a place like Scarborough.

strong winds but it's really mild today. just noticed the lobelia thats been forgotten about in a few baskets is flowering and growing like its june.

Likewise barnie regarding the flowers thought a few days ago ours were finished suddenly got a new lease o life.

cold this morning lovely bright sunshine though,off to ashton gate today v middlesborough

been very cold all day here, water was frozen this morning .........

gritters out doing the roads round here, prefer this bright cold weather to all the rain and wind we've been having.
