Wasted more money than sense on cars David.

Had company one for years but bought my first new one when you had to separate personal and work use.

Had two new Rovers, new Fiat and new Peugeot, waste of money.

The one we have now was second hand, Ford Fusion, old dear had it done less than 3,000 miles in three years, had it for 8 years and no intention of wasting any more on cars.

If this one packs in will get tandem and my wife can do the peddling.

Regards.

Know the feeling David.

I am a bit worried about my eyesight regarding driving can only see with my right eye following a bodged eye operation, have to have eye test every year for my driving license but would be lost without being able to drive.

Roll on ARMAGEDDON.

For the actual mileage we do it would be far cheaper to use taxis etc George.

Insurance, petrol, maintenance, mot, services, bus service just yards away and free but not the same as being able to do just what you want and when.

Just got annual appointment letter for eye check up at opticians, will be new glasses no doubt but had hospital check up last month and my sight was stable.

New licence due in November so going to enjoy it till then at least ( GOD WILLING)

Feel for you George.

Unless you have experienced it George, impossible to describe the effect it can have on you.

People say do this do that but they have not experienced it.

Good friends, less time alone, keep occupied with things that need constant attention, know it is hard but think others are even worse off.

Had a prolonged period myself, thought would not get over it, kicked the tablets into touch etc; and concentrated on my pigeons etc;

Only a very few close friends were aware none were pigeon fanciers but all helped me through it.

Good luck George.

We have Dial a Ride George, free service for people with problems.

Maybe worth a look into if same applies in your area.

Not like having your own car but helpful.

You only have to look at many of the best performance pigeons George to see many would have been culled based on eye sign.

You have certain breeds where almost all have good eyesign and as many dummies amongst them.as others with less.

Too many fads.

That eye would rate -10, good job Mark does not cull on eyesign.

Not the eyes that count but the body bearing them, although they must have two that work.

Note on the RPRA WEB our little site keeps getting a mention.

Best eyes in pigeons I have see have been in the VAN WEYER, ZION, JAN ARDEN according to the theory, the best eye in reality is the one in the photograph.

Think he has many advantages but you cannot take the results he obtains as luck.

Can see some problems George if the temperatures are as they were forecast.

Must be murder in the transporters irrespective of any air conditioning and that would not be run over night.

Nothing appears normal anymore.

Weather here warm but sea breeze keeping it coolish, cannot remember the last day we did not have at least a medium breeze and mostly a strong wind.

Lets hope they all have a decent race.

Regards.

Never liked hold overs George, least time spent on the transporters the better.

Wild birds fly less far in the Summer the food source being close at hand.

We do the opposite and many times in inclement weather, flying wise.

Lets hope some at least have good returns.

Regards.

Think there has been some diabolical returns.

Been tied up attempting to get my wife mobile again, we feed the birds on the mere, must at least be a few hundred of mixed species.

Noted a little young blue pigeon few days on the trot, looked as fit and contented as all the water fowl etc;

Had a red rubber on and normal ring, no electronic one.

If that pigeon wanted to go home it would have no problem but bet owner is blaming raptors etc;

Regards.

Taking of eye sign.

Annual visit to opticians yesterday.

Thought as you can get according to adverts a pair for a few bob now lets go.

Need them for driving and only one eye working so have to be careful.

Said I wanted exactly the same frame.

Stopped making them but had a spare frame in the shop and could use them and the frame I had now could be used next year.

Frame £185. lens, darkening effect, anti blare when driving on a night etc;

Total £335.

Bit more than the adverts.

Regards.
