Tis a real puzzler David.

For one I do not think the majority put in the paniers are incapable of returning to the loft.

I can remember as a youngster that local fanciers had bred pigeons in the same lofts for years without introductions and very few were lost racing just had to be sorted out at the end of each year.

There were very few health problems.

If there was Widowhood and Darkness systems then I new nothing about them.

I know a pigeon has an affinity with the loft it is bred in from personal experience having pigeons return to my loft which had never seen outside as youngsters.

Then we went continental and adopted all their ideas along with their problems, something I warned about several times in the BHW and RP.

They had health problems needing constant medication and we inherited the lot.

So the answer David may be we have caused the problems by going artificial instead of keeping to nature.

Think matters will not change only for the worse.

Watched this and others David although a bit before my time can remember some of the content.

Clean streets, no potholes, no kids stabbing each other.

Come a long way technically and gone beyond the pail humanly.

Made giant strides in many aspects of life David, medicine etc; housing, roads (when there were no pot holes)
means of travel, list is endless but the dark side offsets any good.

The means of evil are abundant and someone will use them.

Your main problem being finding a good means of testing the youngsters.

Still think doing what David does is your best bet, after those the fancier who may test some for you.

They will be flown and you will have a return on your outlay.

2 years ago was outbid at £60 then the bibber did not want it rpra said it was mine so said i don't want it so then got it for 40

was 164 th in the final i knew the chap who bred it it was down as a cock chap sent me a hen turned out a hen

the birds look well george,i have not asked the fancier yet george as we have had a difficult week in and out of hospital and losing my uncle ,but i will ask him as soon as i can ,cheers
