Think photos can be deceiving George. For myself I knew immediately when handling a pigeon if I liked it, balance being the criteria I looked for and an intelligant look about it, like the one I like. Mostly had medium sized pigeons myself because that was the norm for the breed but as with humans and any other species winners come in every shape and size. In our sport Mr Basket is the best selector. Regards. |

No test of a good or bad pigeon George. You need at the very least least six youngsters tried and tested off potential breeders. Not one pair of pigeons have ever bred all winners in good competition, or you would only want one pair. If it was me I would pair that hen to oldstrain's pigeon. Regards. |

Good luck choose what you decide George. On another note, had a look at the independant auctions. Lots of pigeons, very few with bids on them. Same with Massarella's auctions, some very well bred pigeons reasonable prices no bids. Wonder what they do with them ?. Regards. |

Agree with that but many end up with no bid being made. Think we may see a few fanciers calling it a day if they think they will not be getting a full racing season in, for one reason or another. Regards. |

A fanciers yb season can be finished before it realy got started, yb sickness, or other problems caught in the race panniers and, season over, most likely the ones who caused the problems will still fly their pigeons. Cannot see the reason for many of the restrictions and requirements fanciers face to enable them to fly their pigeons, would not have happened if we had not left the EU. Just another nail in the coffin. Regards. |

According to the balance sheet George and subs there are far less than that. There should be an appendix on the balance sheet as in many previous years. Would frighten the present members. Regards. |

As David said on a previous post, this did not happen on the same scale previously, Yes there were losses but not the thousands lost today in OLs and not only in our country but world wide. But then everything has gone to pot. We have no real idea what will affect our pigeons homing ability nor what nature and the scientists are throwing at them. But nothing in the world today appears normal. Regards. |
