Got the DVL appointment for eye test.

Last time went to local Specsavers ten minutes away, this time they say I have choice of three the nearest 35 miles away.

Local one open tomorrow will have a word with them.

Mad does not explain it.

See Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes tragically, another fine example etc Misty Wink Wink I suspect I'm  affraid of the new age of customer service Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad these days, their thinking is you would enjoy bounce bounce somehow, a 70 odd mile round trip apparently in place of a 10 minute local jaunt there as such I suggest. End of the day Smile Smile understand your madness dilemma unfortunately. Pathetic all round I'm  affraid from my perspective here. Especially Smile Smile when one considers my local optometrist here is not 2 minutes away in one direction & when I go in shortly to have my Cataracs done at my local hospital, that's not 2 minutes away in another direction as such here. cheers

Just had a look at the Florida OL.

Final result of the first hard 1 miler.

6735 sent, 1760 yards, good weather conditions a brave 5787 made it home, losses 948.

Just hope they do not send them 5 miles next time and give them a real test.

Regards.

Thanks George, a very nice eye, would look even better if it had a strong light on it to reduce the pupil, suprising the difference it makes.

The smaller and blacker it is the better.

The condition of all your pigeons George are a credit to you.

There are few that do not look the part, but looks ??.

Already said the two of your pigeons I like the best, like a pigeon to look intelligent and not docile, just my way.

lol! lol! lol! you know Smile Smile I'm a bit on the dumb side here etc Misty Very Happy Very Happy sadly, unfortunately Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes I'm  affraid Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad because as  I read what you say above Wink Wink 5 miles may just be a wee bit too far of a stretch somehow bounce bounce apparently, when considering the welfare of the pigeons involved there aspect Wink Wink. cheers

Had a look in, not much doing, think £100 bit cheeky as a starting bid.

Some decent looking pigeons and by all accounts had a rough time.

What happens when a pigeon does not get a bid ?.

Been having a look at the elimar auctions.

Would snatcb there hands off for a pied cock, £250.

Grandson of pigeon called TECHNO 700 miler.

Reminds me of a stock cock I had, the full brother to Massarella's Bullhead.

That is my kind of pigeon, bred his like.

Bought him from a friend of Massarella, Guy Oxby,

You only need a few like him, was very lucky he clicked
with the first hen I paired him to and never changed the pairing.

Never bred a bad one.

Regards.

George got me curious here etc Misty Smile Smile board time Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes went surfing type thing Very Happy Very Happy like my old days down here Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes looked up all the birds at auction from the Cotswold races left at the finish. Credit where due Wink Wink on average, not a bad lot by appearances from my end over all bounce bounce but I suspect a wee bit of air brushing may just have occurred there somehow, maybe. End of the day Smile Smile picked out a fancy type for your fancy one above if interested type thing. Impressive pedigree without a doubt by my standards lol! lol! lol! down here. Turns out Smile Smile it was 2nd Fed by the report card on offer there & also lol! lol! lol! would you believe, 2nd Combine also apparently in the end from 50 odd miles Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad Unfortunately, it just so happens in the end by chance sadly to be a cock bird I'm affraid But then, we both know well I suggest  bounce  bounce the way society is these days anything is possible now when playing the mating game as such, as crazy as it all is Wink  Wink. cheers

Florida still loft flying to let the little darlings get over the one miler, believe it was
a tester, tail wind but just gentle.

Cannot understand the mentality of those who enter an event with so many pigeons involved.
