| Be a let down for the show fanciers there are not that many shows as big and they look forward to them every year.
Must be some real reason because it is long enough away to almost start from start to finish to organise it.
Probably go the way of some other good shows.
Think there are far fewer Showmen/Women/and Other Genders than previously maybe not enough interest and the costs too high.
Regards. |

Think some clubs are finding the same, less willing to help and some getting beyond it. There used to be a great Show in Cleethorpes but that went to the dogs some time ago as has other shows. Our club used to hold fortnightly shows all through the Winter, four classes and all pens full. Used to have independent judges from outside our area. Drinks and cakes on tap. A friend and I used to organise them and when we stopped so did the shows. A willing horse and advantage takers springs to mind. Afraid as time goes bye with changes all round our sport becomes less attractive to those who used to do all the work and with little thanks. Thats life. Regards. |

Showed at the Harrogate Show for many years David won quite a few cards all the top showmen /women used to attend and plenty of racing classes, son and I stayed at the same hotel every year, actually liked it better than Blackpool as show but not as much divercity. Gone to the dogs like most things. Regards. |
