| no idea george, ive had birds that were ill and they didnt moult, but once they were well again they started moulting .......
had the hen been un well ...? |

| it would not bother me too much ,its got colder considerably this last 48 hours and the main thing is that the hen comes through the moult ...it wont be a health issue because she has suddenly dropped alot of feathers some just moult heavier than others ,conditioner and a good mix of feed and of course grit/minerals is all that is required for me |

| If the feed is right George would not worry nature know best, would only worry if it broke down.
Age can have an effect but then it does on everything.
