| i will, love the shows, never find them boring or disappointing although I have to admit I'm feeling apprehensive about Blackpool. RPRA advertising over 100 trade stands, I reckon it will be nearer 50 related to pigeons, if you take away the candy rock, copper bracelet and superglue stalls, plus there's always some don't turn up. Same last year they were advertising pigeons would be allowed in the winter gardens when everyone knew fine well that Blackpool was in a bird flu exclusion zone. They push the misleading adverts to the very last minute, bone of contention with me Should get there late Friday afternoon and leave after breakfast Sunday. It's a waste of time and money going in on the Sunday because by 12:30pm they start packing up. Years ago they had to stay put till 3:30pm and at least you got some Sunday afternoon bargains, not now I'm afraid. Anyway it's still a good weekend and will be a big miss once it's gone ( I reckon 3 or 4 years tops), hope I'm wrong though. |

No everything looks ok this year david. Only 1/3 of the usual number of auctions this year, the continentals pulled the plug, import costs make it nonviable since brexit, so although I never bought I still enjoyed a look. |

| yes sadly, I think Brexit hasn't helped, never thought at the time but I do now. Less European stall holders, in fact hardly any now. Same with auctions and hence overseas visitors, show committee need to get their heads around the state of things and get some fresh ideas, make some changes, attract more trade stands, reduce prices.....anything, something because it's definitely on the slide. |
