| found hole in loft floor to-day about 2 " across no droppings any were also nothing inside the loft was sure i put mesh wire down before i laid the floor thinking it may be my cat he sleeps under the lofts and out most of the night did have mesh wire down |

| certainly looks like a rat George, it will be back now that it's been in for a look about. Poison and traps down. I've got 4 bait stations constantly baited plus a rat trap set 24/7 and now it's nearing winter I see signs of them frequently, odd holes popping up under the fence and in the borders but my thoughts are if there's bait outside then it keeps them outside. |

| loft is empty now trap down but no rat it may have made the hole but wire has kept it out more stuff coming to-morrow to put under the lofts and few more traps |

| theres alsorts of home made poisons which ive read abot george, no idea if they work but it might be worth a try ........ antifreeze soak it in bred or corn , bicarb and flour mixed with something like chocolate powder for the taste. i also read a few days ago pieces of sweet potato , not cooked just raw, or instant potato ..... |

| i think the normal house cat wont kill a rat, its the feral/farm males that will ....... you need a jack russel george, dont you know anyone with one who can come round .? |

| have order a trap in a box which i can set outside David bait in loft not taken i'm not so sure it's a rat |

| think it's a fox now this lounger cushion was over a rail and a rat did not do this 3ft of the ground |

| yes David the hole was large enough for a rat yet it did not enter the loft |

| human pee is best thing to deter a fox,i once decorated a cottage in cornwall for a guy who had geese and ducks and one duck had laid in an open barn far away from the house and she was sitting eggs in the barn ,i felt sure the duck was going to be taken during the night by a fox but she was fine due to a bucket of pee placed at the entrance of the barn |

| if it is rats they will keep away from the traps if they smell human scent, did you wear rubber gloves when you set everything up george? |
