| can members tell me how much they feed their ybs on a friday before basketing.........? i usually feed 3 oz between 15 birds after the morning exercise then the rest (12 oz after the evening fly) so how much should i feed when racing/basketing on the friday. thanks. |

| mornings i give mine 1/2oz evening 3/4oz friday i give 1/2oz morning 1/4oz diet before basketing, thursday all they can eat evening |

| thanks steve, been told by someone ybs do well fed on super diet.....? dont know what it is but i might investigate for next year (if i race next year ) |

| £10 a bag buxtons diet from selby maple peas £6, birds go mad for it, i feed it in mornin then widowhood with popcorn maize evening |

| i couldnt give then oz and a quarter ian, i have trouble getting them in even on an oz sometimes so ill have no chance if a feed any more...........what i do is give them the oz then when 3-4 birds go to drinker i take food away. |

| David your pigeons need a little more road work mate to get the weight right so that there digestive system works well, as you should be able to get them in if they are right /fit then the food you feed them should have gone through them after 1 to 2 hours mate |

| David when i raced would have the youngbirds out in the morning 6.00 o'clock they would fly for 45 to 60 mins as they were showing form come friday, get them in ( i never fed by the measure but by hand and watched the pigeons feed) would give them there feed but keep it short of there full feed then of to work
Late afternoon 2.00pm go to the loft with some red band with added hemp seed but not to much hemp, but take the water fountain out the loft then return it to the loft with fresh water about 5.00pm then watch the birds have a good drink, doing this helps prevent dehydration during the hot weather

| i feed my on a friday early as possible, 24 hours or near enough to liberation time the next day and as much as they want.if they are fit they will not eat too much anyway.it was the first time i done that two seasons ago and i have had good results doing this |
