| Hi David yes i do the same method, but also double check whic birds bred them, to see what they have produced before are any of them still in race team have they been consistant, this will tell you whether to keep or remove on Ken |

| thanks ken, hoping there are the birds which have won for him in the sale....there should be but ill have to keep my wits about me and make sure there is maybe proof of race wins on the pen, then ill try buy the fed winners...lol
ken, what would be the best to buy....the fed winner or the parents of a fed winner ? |

| i would be looking at the parents, see what they have bred have they bred multible prize winners or was the fed topper a one off, also look at the other birds on sale how many are out of that pair still there, get there early if you can so you can study them properly if in doubt dont buy Ken |

| hi ken, i think its worth going along and at least having a look.......with me having only the one family im thinking it would be best to have some different strains as different races might need different types of bird to win it, as im aiming high in my yb racing next year i want to cover as many posibilities as possible and have a bird to win in whatever the weather... im after 8 1sts ken.... |

| As mid week are only short races they are sprint but some fanciers just use them as training for distance racing, Widowhood men send the hens to Midweek races Ken |
