Hi David and Don. Just to answer your questions, I did have 2 birds in Europa that I was in partnership with, and yes it was with andrew hitchcock. We had 3 but 1 was lost early on, the 2 left were a deklak an a tav- regole. They both went to the final race after lots of hot spots and about 30 trainers, but only 1 made it the deklak it came 447th out of 800. I have had a lot of deklaks from andrew and they really are very good also meulmans, I have bred some good birds from his birds and raced a few direct from him also. I will try and buy that bird from the europa, and keep it for breeding next year as its been put through its paces by europa and survived, so cant be too bad and it will sell quite cheap for what it is.

I have found andrews deklaks to be very good racers, I have bought a few for the last 2 years and have had a few fly a good programe. They are ideal for crossing with my Janssens as they are janssen based, and very nice looking birds, he tells me he is selling the deklaks this year so I will be looking for some of his stock birds on Elimar when they come up for sale.

hi martyn, yes i think it would be worth buying the winning bird of yours back.......and as you say you can breed off it as it surely has been well and truely tested, and done well too........or, could you send it on to a yearling loft next season ? or doesnt he do it?
