| do you let your birds out while going through the moult. i have in the past lost birds while they been moulting and have been told other people had to, i know some pigeon men who keeps them in while moulting . whats your thoughts on this,

| my old birds are never let out during moulting i keep them in until after pairing at beginning of year |

| When i was racing i always kept them in but gave them a warm bath every week by hand to stop the floor from getting wet and damp |

| i suppose by keeping them in during moulting would give them a better more relaxed moult.......i do let mine out when moulting and if they want to fly they can, but i dont force them to.....plus plenty of baths also. |

| do you reduce their food ian if they are not flying out ? or do you give depurative etc to help keep them from getting fat/over wieght ? |

| i give them wheat and a decent economymix mixed david but only feed once a day |

| ah right, thanks ian.....ive read that sometimes hens are too fat to lay after the winter as they dont get enough exercise....... |

| never have any bother as you know my first round of youngbirds was around 40 youngsters |
