its so easy to forget and get confused with ybs and what they are bred off...........

As long as you have a little note book to write everything down then that can't be hard mate

i think this year im going to do what kens told me, he said i should put a card on the nestbox with ring numbers of parents and the date laid/hatched etc...........and then the ring no of ybs, then i can transfer it to my main book.

yes, just keep a pencil in my pocket then i can write details down and also with the cards up i will know how old the ybs are straight away........without having to run up the house and look in the book.

Thats it David, exactly what i'm going to do. That way, the parents are known, the ybs are known, the age of the ybs is known all at a glance.

Yep exactly David. It's useful for a few pairs too because no matter how many you have it's always good to keep them organised. Not sure if Ian does it this way?
