we have to get 2 x sets of 8 widowhood boxes, divise either folding/sliding shutters for the loft fronts (all are just open mesh windows at the minutes as they have been since June when i took the plastic sheeting off, segregate the back section for the widowhood hens and allow access to a small avairy

no david it must be over 40 years old so it is still standing there . but when i go down and take a look at it i still get a lump in my throat. with no pigeons in it things are beginning to take there toll. nature is beginning to claim it. bits falling of it here and there. just upset me. but will have to just move on and make the best of it

yes i understand john, when you think it was such a hive of activity at one point with winners in the loft etc......i pass some old allotments sometimes and there are still the old pigeon lofts stood deralict on some of them and i often wonder who the pigeon men were who raced to them many years ago.
