Was at the fed night tonight, was good some will be for me next year though

Took 6 rings with me and they all went and im being bred another 4 ybs.....top lads there helping me out

well done alex thats the way to do it

just be a bit carefull on getting yb from here there and every where ,
it can be very up setting if the yb are carrying some thing im not saying they will be ,
but just keep your eyes peeled if you have two sections keep them seperated for a few days
before mixing in with your own yb . all the best for the season alex

alex the best birds you will ever get is the ones you get gifted mate

that should be comman practise for everyone thats taking birds in bought or gifted treat for a week to 10 days what ever your birds has been treated for then let them in the section

Yes thats what I do lads, the new birds go in the empty section for a week and then in with the others if they are all ok, havent had any problems yet and my birds have come from all over

yes i would say thats good advise alex, whenever any new bird/s come into your loft i think its best to isolate them for maybe a week just incase they are carrying some illness or suffering from some illness.................

i would do this in all cases weather the birds are given free or bought......

nobody,s knocking anybody kev just giving there point thats what this is all about

i would think we would all agree that being careful when introducing new birds to our loft would be an inprtant thing to do, as we all know desease can spread through the loft like wildfire and this would be disasterous for some/all of us.

yes david thats right its common practice mate

its like on the odd ocassion i get a stray in, i never keep it with my own birds and put it in my corn shed away from other pigeons untill it returns home.
